For years, the holiday season was packed, and the rest of the calendar year was fairly dead. As the industry has grown, game releases have gotten more spread out. What used to be a several-month reprieve to catch up on games you may have missed now lasts about a month. January. That’s it.
January’s gone now, and the deluge of games is on the way again. I’m still working on my backlog, and the Iron Brigade DLC came out today, and I’m going to pick up Sonic CD for Re-Play Radio, and Gotham City Impostors and Reckoning are next week. Looks like some of my backlog might wait for the summer lull.
- Good for NetherRealm.
- Another MMO goes free-to-play-ish.
- EA is trying yet another online pass maneuver. They’re really dabbling in a lot of different ideas this week.
